Are A.P's really that important?

I'll be a Junior next year and originally planned on taking 3 AP's, but 2 got cut for budget reasons. The rest of my classes are fairly tough (all level 1 or advanced). Obviously I will be taking plenty of AP courses for Senior year, which I'm stoked about since their all classes I'd love to take. I am just worried this will impact college acceptances.

Is it worth it to take an A.P. course online? I have been considering this but have had some trouble finding a good place to take a course.

Think about it from a money-saving standpoint. Taking an AP class is almost free (tuition if you do it online) then you have the cost of the test (I think it is $55.)

Compare that to the cost of tuition, housing, books, etc at college.

My son is a senior in high school and just finished taking 6 AP classes (yikes) plus he had 4 last year. In other words, he completed almost a full year of college for less than $1000. He is planning on attending a state college where the estimated yearly cost is $23,000, a savings of $22,000!

A.P courses online are probably not the best things to do. First, colleges won't be as convinced you know your stuff since you can easily cheat your way through it and even if thats not true, A,Ps are demanding courses and it would be best for you to understand what your doing. A.Ps are important and they might impact your college accpetances. I mean, colleges basically look for the type of classes you take and if your taking easy classes, they won't consider you as much whereas if you take multiple A.Ps, they would consider you more.

well what they're saying is true a.p classes does affect your collage application but u should also join a few sports because most collages like a well rounded student even if you just sit on the sidelines all year long that will greatly affect your collage Application.
