as in put the screwwy connector back on the wire yes go to home depot etc and you will find tools that cut the cord shave down a bit of it so you can put a new connector on it look around or ask someone and tell them you are installing the cable yourself so they show you all the parts you will need. a cutter, new top screw connector thing, and the cutter should have a thing that lets you strip the wire cord down to just the wire but if not you can do that with a razorblade.
