When it's no longer "peach fuzz"
Meaning...it actually becomes NOTICEABLE.
(and of course deodorant as soon as peach fuzz starts)

I agree with what people say on here. When it becomes noticeable. I shaved my under arms before my legs as well. I had my arms up and my mom saw my underarms and realized it was time. It was the summer that I was 10 I think. I started using deodorant/antiperspirant around that time too.

Oh...I just went through this with my daughter. When the hair can be seen then she should most definately start shaving. How embarassing for her to have hairy armpits and not shave.

This is one of those mother dillemmas that seem to have no clear-cut answers, isn't it? I think it should be as soon as she starts feeling uncomfortable about it, to be honest with you. Happy Mothers day to you too :)

As for my underarms my mother let me right away. She said it was more for hygiene purposes. Basically whenever I told her and I had hair (not peach fuzz) she let me. Granted this was about 20 yrs ago.

when she is old enough to have hair under her arms, she is old enough to shave it, IF she wants to.
