What they did is deplorable, but not voting is not really the way. At the end of the day either Labour or Conservative will get in power again. I guess it's just a case of voting for who you think is best for the country and yourself. What has happened with the expenses has only proved what we knew all along, that all parties are as guilty as one another. So unless you are going to vote for one of the radical parties UKIP/BNP, then I would suggest taking this issue out of the equation. Hopefully new rules on expenses will be in place well before the next election, and the sooner the better.

All I want to see is when they get Punished ,Their Bank Accounts are Frozen, Their 2nd& 3rd Houses are Repossessed and Sold , Monies going to the Pensioners, Also their Gold Platted Pension Fund to be Scrapped , PS. As the Lady Above said they should be Given a Lie Detector Test

The only alternative to not voting for ANY of them is having accept those who have been voted in by everyone else. If we are so exasperated by the politicians then we need to do something about it.
Petitions, marches, letters to the PM. and anything else we can do.
Will anyone actually do anything?...no, not many anyway. Apathy rules in this country sadly for most people. We moan and complain but don't actively DO anything...and I am ashamed to say I am included in that.

Probably not. It is so profoundly embarrassing to admit this but I actually felt optimistic for about five minutes there about 'hope' and 'change'. Now that I've discovered 'hope' means stubbornly clinging to archiac ideology and 'change' means acceleration and exaggeration of archaic ideology, it appears overwhelmingly obvious we cannot trust politicians. However, I still believe the answer is not anarchy but simply good government which means we have to reject the scum and we have to fix this system that filters out all but scum from candidacy. We can do that and we have literally billions of worthy candidates among us, so the answer sadly is to keep voting, and we have to target the scum for elimination.

"Anyone who desires political power, should automatically be disqualified from the pursuit"
Politics is about power, influence and getting your name into the history books, you vote for party-X because party-Z has been in power for so many years and people have become disillusioned with party-Z, party-X fail to fulfill the majority of their promises and it's okay because it takes time to do these thing, then it's just a matter of time before you're disillusioned with party-X and vote for party-Z again.
There are many reasons the system doesn't work, but till someone can devise a better solution, it's the best we've got.
On an unrelated note, vote me for Supreme Overlord and there will be swimming pools filled with jellybeans.

We can no longer trust these people ... we need a new brand of leadership and that starts with us! We as a public need to become more in-tuned to what is going on and who is running rather than voting familiarity.
We need the youth of this country to stand up and fight to let our voice be heard!

Definitely not labour and tories, we have had a hundred plus years of those two parties lieing and stealing from the public, time for a complete change in this country

Actually, most of them yes.
They played the system, true. But technically, none of them did anything illegal.
If anything, we need to pressure them to get rid of expenses, and have a pay rise instead.

No. Remember the adage : how do you tell if a politician is lying ? His/her lips are moving. One term and out

It's not going to help improve the turnout on election day, is it? Which is already low. Maybe that's what they want, I don't know any more.
