How do I delete my browsing history in my address bar on firefox?
I have tried tools, options, clear private data, clear private data now, etc etc.... I also have 'save my history for '0' days' clicked. But I still get a list of recently visited websites whenever I click the address bar arrow. How can I get it to go away?! Its driving me nuts.
Thanks Adamant Eve! But when I type
browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled
into the filter, no value comes up??

EDIT: Okay, you might have an older version of Firefox... I have the newest beta.
Instead of browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled, put browser.urlbar.maxRichResults in the Filter bar. Now, double- click the result and set it to 0.

Alternatively, to remove a certain URL or URLS from the address bar, when you see them, press the Down arrow until the offending URL is highlighted. Now press Delete. It will be deleted from your history.

Select "Tools" from the top of the menu. Then select "Options". Click the "Privacy" tab at the top of the page. At the bottom of the page you will see a button that says "Clear now". Click it. A new window will pop up and you will check only the "Browsing History" box and then click "Clear Private Data Now". It is now cleared.

Is it possible that the sites that keep showing up are ones that you have bookmarked? I know that when you have a site bookmarked it auto-completes whenever you start typing anything close to that address in the address bar.
If this is the case, simply remove the site from your bookmarks.
