is this true or false?

Islamic fundamentalists in many countries are seeking the elimination of secular values, especially those associated with the West, and a return to traditional values.

true or false?

Update:

and logic would dictate that I didn't ask anything about why they are attacking us.

    Actually false.

What makes it false is the statement "return to traditional values". The Islamic fundamentalists are not traditional in the least. Traditional Muslim countries were very accepting of new ideas and cultures. They people were very very friendly and great hosts. Not so much any more thanks to that Islamic fundamentalism that sprang up in the last 50 years.

    True, but don't distort it

That is not the principle reason many islamic fundamentalists are attacking us, it is because we have intervened in their states for so long.

Why wouldn't they refocus so much of their attention on America to all free practicing nations if it was just primarily that? Logic beats ignorance my friend.

Sounds like the plot of "Footloose":

"When teenager Ren and his family move from big-city Chicago to a small town in the West, he's in for a real case of culture shock. Though he tries hard to fit in, the streetwise Ren can't quite believe he's living in a place where rock music and dancing are illegal..."

True. You wonder why a 30 year gap and a change in law changed Egypt from a blossoming country into a dirt poor ruin.

  • True. Are you perhaps trying draw that rather subtle, but constantly present, line between Islamic Fundamentalists and Christian Fundamentalists?
