The United States Federal Government should allow...?

Question

I am doing a research paper on this topic for my senior project and I need at least 10 people to response to these questions. It doesn't matter if another person answered the same as you. In advance than you so much for your help & time. The topic could be con or pro gay marriage or PRO abortion.

this is the format:

A) Inherency: Status Quo--> what is happening now with this?
B) Harms: why is Status Quo really bad?
C)Solvency: why can your plan fix the harms of Status Quo?
D)Impacts: 1....2....3...

there can be many impacts!

A) President Obama is starting to shake up the status quo right now by making ways for the American people to change their own futures; to take their rights back from the Old Guard, who are dependent on the stability of the status quo to continue their stranglehold on our country. 
B) 'Status Quo' speaks for itself. When one elite group holds control of the fate of millions, they can create a static form of rule: Nothing moves up or down, everything to do with power and finances is held in stasis. As long as the masses are willing to allow this to continue there can be no genuine progress for the people, i.e. no change = status quo. 
I'm sorry, but I'm too long-winded to answer the rest of your question in the time and space available, But I think you can see where this is going.

Let me tell you when people see the word 'SHOULD ALLOW' it sound so fascist.  Government makes laws that protect people, give them equal rights, etc....
