Try getting some highlights? or lowlights?

Ive actually just recently converted to the short hair styles after having very very long hair for so long!!! I actually love it and get so many compliments on it almost everday. Plus living in FL in the summertime....its very hot with dark long hair!!! Im enjoying the breeze on my neck for once!! LOL
