i have a project and i want to cut all the watermelon out of a watermelon and put jello in the water melon skin how long the the outside of a watermelon last before roting if its in room temperature?

probably 4-5 days.
Also mind the gelatin might either work as a preserver or make it rot faster.
Plus, the skin is almost all water, if it doesnt dry gradually it will grow fungus and moho
