Good horror movies help?

I've been looking around for some good new horror movies to watch, and I've only found a few.

So if you guys could list some good horror films you have seen, or heard were good, or whatever. That'd be amazing, thanks!!!

    When you say "good horror," you need to be more specific. These days, most people seem to gravitate to torture porn, which I find boring and repulsive. I can give you a list of movies I consider to be good horror, but my own tastes are for creeping dread and psychological horror rather than blood and guts and flying kidneys, so your mileage may vary. My recommendations, for what it's worth:

    * Nosferatu

    * Night of the Hunter

    * The Shining (original Kubrick version)

    * Psycho (original Hitchcock version)

    * Witchboard

    * Threads (not a horror per se, but genuinely horrifying)

    * The Thing (Carpenter remake)

    * Session 9

    * Cube

    * Mr. In-Between

    * Ginger Snaps

    * Silk

    * Shutter (original Japanese version)

    * Dark Water (original Japanese version)

    * Ringu

    * Kairo (original Kurosawa version, not the awful, awful Hollywood version)

    I could probably list 40 or 50 more I've enjoyed, but the ones I listed I think are the cream of the crop.

    The Ruins

    The Descent

    Audition

    Frontieres

    Three Extremes

    The House on Sorority Row (if you like old horror)

    I recently saw Identity and it was awesome. now it's more of a suspense thriller but the ending is totally brilliant, and it has sort of a Hitchcock feel to it. So that's the one I recommend
