Does anyone else feel this way about....?

Neck Ties. I am a man who wears a shirt and tie to work. And every day I think this is so weird. I tie a piece of cloth around my neck, in a knot very similar noose. Does anyone else think this is weird an explanation as to why I have to tie this fabric around my neck everyday?

I worked at the World Trade Center in the 80s for a commodity investment firm with the same stupid tie requirement. I can proudly report that it came off every day by 10:00 am. For some real fun try a different category. Like R&S or Polls and Surveys.

Neckties were orginally a way for a man to embellish his attire and give it a bit of his own style. The earliest known form of a tie was in ancient Egypt, because it showed his social status. This became a trend among men as a way of showing off themselves. History shows that people often adorned themselves by hanging things on their necks, be it jewelry or cloth. I can see the significance of the 'noose' feeling - especially working for corporate America. Dont fear though, there are no ominous underlying reasons... just to look nicer.

I was created by children so they would have something to give their dads on Father's Day.

    Just kidding... : )

I married a farmer/rancher. I love a man in a western shirt and blue jeans. His dress clothing includes a western jacket, western-cut dress pants, cowboy boots and his bolo tie. The bolo is still noose like, I suppose, but it's certainly different than the typical tie.

You have to wear them sweetie so you'll look professional. And besides they look sexy on men.
