Because he took the advice of his military advisors (which I agree with) that releasing them would provoke Anti-American sentiment and may assist our enemies in recruiting more terrorists.

Even Afghanistan he was gonna get us out of there.......Oh thats right he sent 17,000 more troops....huh nothing what he said he was going to do.

Then it was Torture.......he was going to have complete transparity & have an open White House & by releasing the torture memos & pictures which the Wacky Left want so they can prove Pres.Bush is a war criminal, he told them absolutely he will show them.......well I assume there is no evidence of any wrong doing & he would just be emboldening the enemy by showing something none of us should or have to see.
