GASP!!! YOU GOT THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH!!!!!!
Your problem is a little too common on Windows computers. Almost everyone who own a Windows PC will hit the wall with this defect. But this problem usually doesn't happen on XP systems. It was much more prevalent with the stone-age Windows 95,98 and Me systems.
What usually causes these problems is when a software (the main windows files) boot, string, or file got screwed up, deleted, or is malfunctioning. The usual causes are:
-Virus, worms, malware, and other vicious programs written by people who have no life get on to your system and they are programmed to do something fatal.
But if yours is saying a Hardware problem, then your probably looking at a shot Hard-drive. Hard drives are typically one of the 1st things to fail on your PC because there are so many things that just sit on their rear-end- they keep movin movin.
I used to have a 2002 HP Laptop with a Pentium 4 in it and after about 6 years, the 30 GB hard drive failed and the system refused to load windows. Coulda fixed it but I figured the laptop was too old to be invested on so I Trashed the laptop and got a new one.
Your either going to need to get a new hard drive or ditch your computer. Sorry.
Fixing hard drives usually isn't fun and cheap.

Emachines has been known to use faulty hardware to lower prices. I had an emachines for 5 years though before my power supply just stoped working, if you bought the computer a month ago you are probably still under warranty so you can probably send it in to have some hardware replaced

man this has been giving you crap
you tried all the basic stuff
now try unplugging everything besides what you need
i would try taking out the ram and try new ram
as well as check that your processor fan is running could be something as simple as that
and check your bios settings
if you cant get new ram hopefully you have two sticks and can take one out and try it then take the other out and put the other in and try that, i would say this is ram most likely or the cpu fan not starting up
what is the error code that comes up?
you could also try a mem86 test to test the ram you just might have to let it run forever(jk) a long time though

It sounds like you are getting "blue screened" allot, In the IT world blue screens are common when a computer has to new info for the drives to handel. you said you reformatted the drives, maby try clearing out some old stuff onto a new drive/USB. once youve cleared everything off because you dont want to loss any work find out how to take the computer apart, clean, and put it back together. or take it to harvy norman of a place that fixes it also it may be out of date and you may need a new one.

Um, Dude...sorry to be the one to tell you, but the power supply, that ain't it, restore, that ain't it either...
Your Processor is failing and about to go out all together...
The tale tail sign of this: Sudden Blue Screen and constant Restart...
Solution: Replacement of the Processor with one that is efficient enough to run and process your system, as well is compatible with your Motherboard and system...
Hope this has been of assistance to you...

Well,I cant understand the cause of this but I think Formatting your PC(or re-install windows) can stop this damn thing. So try it if it does not worked out then I am sorry because I am not a PC engineer but a 14 years old boy.I hope that this will work out your problem.

quick question.. I had this a few times before.. but managed to get windows up and running after numerous tries, then ran multiple malware, virus and rootkit programs, and have been fine since.. SO is this telling me there is just an error or is my laptop on its slow way to the grave

the problem is because of the registry errors.various annoying registry errors will gradually creep into your system, causing problems such as slow speed, crashing or freezing, blue screens, deadlock, error messages etc.the registry cleaner can scan your system registry and hard drives for invalid system references. After scanning, Registrycleaner will repair all these invalid references. http://faster-computer-registry.info/

I got myself a external hardrive and i'm gonna move everything on my computer onto and free up the memory to see of it'll work if not I dunno what I'm gonna do!
