If you think lying about your plans being out at bars with another man is a "little white lie" then I can understand where he might actually try and get some control over your actions. Even what you said "He doesn't say these things but simply finds excuses to make not go" sounds like you are trying to paint him as a control freak so you can feel justified in doing things that are not right within a marriage. He's not driving you crazy and trying to push you away, you are just looking for excuses.

Assuming your husband is not your only "entertainment", do the same thing you do when he is home. If he is your only entertainment, you need to build yourself a life.

If you are speaking in sexual term, buy a vibrator. If you don't value your marriage, cheat.

get some hobby classes.

Go on a small camp yourself.

Read books.

1. Good time to catch-up with old girlfriends.

throw them a party/get-together at your place.

2. Good time to pamper your self at the spa/salon to look awesome and surprise him when he returns.

3. Good time to watch the mushy type of movies that guys/husbands hate to watch.

4. Good time to spend quality time with your family.
