Vets with PTSD, is there a law requiring them to post a sticker on their door?

Is there a law that requires vets suffering PTSD to post a sticker on their front door to notify the public and law enforcement of that fact? I don't agree with this but neighbor said he was told he would have to do so.

Update:

Although I appreciate all the creative answers, this is a serious question. I don't think there is a law requiring him to post a sticker, but would like verification in the form of a reputable source.

No there is not. It would be a serious invasion of privacy. There are a lot of vets with PTSD and that doesn't mean that they are psycho or killers that is a wild misconception.

A lot of the general public has PTSD too. People who have been in a serious accident, suffered abuse, witnessed a crime, etc. They don't have to post anything on their doors either.

What about Police and Firemen who see tragic stuff...they get PTSD too.

Trust me the guy who said that obviously doesn't know what he is talking about. I won't call him a liar but he is very mistaken. Ether that or he is pulling your chain.

No way, they don't do that...They couldn't even enforce that law even if it was true because it would be unconstitutional.

There are federal laws reguarding patient privacy (mental health and PTSD would fall under those laws) and they would be covered by HIPAA. There are a few other privacy laws and you can look them up at the Dept. of Health and Human Services website. Most of the protected health information is under HIPAA.

I'm telling you now that there won't be a specific law that says you can't hang a sign on your door...because there is no law about that...it is more about the protection of health informaiton.

I do have a Health Science degree and have worked in health care for over 18 years in the military and out of the military.

You can also find resourses at the National Institute For Mental Health for protection and privacy of people with mental illness.

There is no such thing and your neighbor is full of it.

Your neighbor claims he was told he would have to do this? Ask him who told him this because ummmm no... that is totally not going to happen and is against HEPA and other laws that protect your medical privacy.

Can you say lawsuit going somewhere to happen????

VA organizations, American Legion and other veterans groups along with the ACLU would have one in a heartbeat because that would be a serious violation of privacy.
