I have an internet connection but when i open mozilla firefox or safari, it says i don't have one. help?
here's what mozilla says: Failed to Connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at go.microsoft.com.
Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a connection.

and here's what safari says: Safari can’t connect to the server.

How do you know you have an internet connection? Maybe you only have a local network connection?

I would try shutting your computer off and then back on... and give your comp some time to "look" for a connection. Also make sure that if its a laptop and your attaching an internet wire to it, sometimes you have turn off the "wireless" switch... And if that doesnt work... try shutting off your internet modem wait for about 10-15 secs... and turn it back on...

what i would try and do is to uninstall the programs, reinstall them and then restart the computer. I tried it once before and it worked once it was restarted.
