If "Sugar" Shane Mosley fought Manny Pacquiao, who would win?

I'm more of an MMA fan and I don't follow boxing all that much, usually just only the big fights. I've seen Pacman's last two fights, and he looks awesome.

But I don't know much about Sugar. Any boxing fans care to share their opinions?

Im a big Pacquiao fan, and a fan of shane as well... I would have to say that Shane should win if they fought. Pac will have a chance to beat him but I just think Mosely is just too big and too strong. Shane did destroy the "granite chin" Margarito.

Interesting scenarios can be thrown out when Pac, Mosely, Cotto, and Mayweather's names are thrown into the same sentences... Alot of "if's". Although it's not wise to follow this logic... Shane beat Margarito, Margarito beat Cotto, Cotto beat Shane, Mayweather should of fought Cotto, and can Pac be a force at 147?

Such questions are just too hard to not be asked.

either way... but im leaning against Pacman.

Mosley is almost 38 years old, but his last win against Margarito has shown the critics that he still has a lot of gas left in his tank. He showed a lot of quickness and the power is still there. Pacman is, a natural light welterweight, or atleast he stated that he feels best at this weight, while Mosley is a natural welterweight.. By fighnight, Mosley can balloon up to 160, while Pacman has never fought higher than 148. The size difference is apparent but history dictates that in some instances, or mostly to be franked, will not be a factor at all. Speed is the key, and right now i think Pac is on top of his game.. he needs to outbox Mosley and be careful of going toe-to-toe with the Sugarman and his power... i don't see a KO/TKO win here. Mosley is a strong WW and has never been stopped. This fight can go either way.

Still, i have to go with the Mighty Banzai, Mr. Manny Pacquiao by UD.

    :]

it depends on a couple things...the largest factor would be a mix between Mosley's old age and inability to drop to the weight that Roach (Pac's trainer) wants Mosley to drop to. That would be around 140-147lbs. But Mosley hasn't fought between those two weight in a long time.

Next up besides his destruction of Antonio Margarito when has Mosley really shined. I think the night of Margarito was a fluke night for Margarito and a good night for Mosley. Lets face it Mosley struggled with a guy like Ricardo Mayorga. Mayorga is the most willing target in boxing. He uses his head to make sure he doesn't get hit.

Then Mosley's fight with Cotto which I thought he should of won. You can tell that some of his speed has diminished. The last time he look phenomenal was against Vargas the second time.

Mosley is on the way down just as Pac is on his way up. I think It will be close. But I am leaning on Pac to pull of another win. However, Since mosley is still mosley I highly doubt it will be a knockout. There may be a knockdown sure but very doubtful for a knockout for Mosley.

I know everyone said the same thing about Ricky Hatton about how he was too strong and too big for Paquio but Sugar Shane Mosley has been all the way up to middle weight before and he really throws bricks and is very quick and has good movement Manny Paquio would put up a good fight with anyone but I would put my money on Shane Mosley his last 3 fights have been incredible and believe me he has plenty fighters scared to fight him..

Its all approximately the Benjamins. Money is the identifying element right here, there has come to be a fashion in boxing of constructing the fights that present the individual you advertise probably the most cash with the least threat (promoters do that so they are able to "reside to battle one more day" which pretty much approach act as a coins cow and are available out unscathed to battle one more no hoper for highest revenue) Arum has been milking Pacquiao for all he can lately, even profitable persons like Antonio Margarito who the game will have to have grew to become its again on after his loaded gloves, lamentably Arum could be very brief sighted,he best appears on the cash aspect of matters and does no longer absorb to account the repercussions of such fit-ups. Pacquiao will win on Saturday. Regarding Floyd Vs Pac, I am sort of over the complete factor, its been left at the range to boil too lengthy and as a consequence my curiosity has quite evaporated. I appreciated boxing earlier than the probability of a Floyd Vs Manny battle and I will nonetheless adore it when they retire so at the grand scheme of matters its no large deal, there are different fights I could so much instead have noticeable in the course of my time following boxing.

it could go eighther way. both have strength and speed. mosley i think has more strength and pacquiao has more speed and agility. i think mosley could ko pacquiao if he gets lucky and pacquiao could win by UD, MAYBE tko but thats doubtful, mosley is a tough guy with a tough *** chin. so i think pacquiao would have to outbox him to win. watch mosleys last 2 rounds against margarito and the ko punches he was throwing, you can see the power in his punches. of course margarito is no pacquiao but its just a sign of his strength. pacquiao also has ko power as you saw and HEARD with that ko punch against hatton but hattons chin doesnt compare to mosleys. for this fight to happen mosley would have to go down to about 143 and from what ive heard mosley wont budge, roach already said he doesnt want manny fighting at 147 anymore, even though i dont see why not. he was still quick and strong against de la hoya. it would hurt mosley more to come down in weight at his age than it would hurt manny to move up.

mosley will be with too old at 143, at 140 itll be suicide for him, 147 will be a good fight. 3-2 odds-pacman.

btw, manny is the king, and if any peasants wants a piece of the king, they better come up with money and attack his castle at 140 :). pacman said he feels great at 140 not 160.

look at there weight classes Shane's too big he's fought as heavy as light middleweight. And probably rehydrated and put on more weight before the fight as fighters tend to do.

    shane moseley has been beaten

paquiao has been beaten, but on the rematch he beat all that have beaten him,

    shane has not.

paquiao has speed, and can take a punch

shane has speed, but cannot take a punch

it would be a very interesting fight, but i would give the edge to paquiao because shane is approaching age difficulties

if they fight at welterweight Sugar SHane wins he is just too big and strong for Manny and they way he dismantled Antonio Margarito pretty much says it all.
