Data collision happens in ethernet networks. Thats why they have protocol called CSMA/ CD Carrier Sense Multiple Access With Collision Detection.

collision is not wanted in the network. It happens when two computers start transmitting withouth knowing the other one transmitting. Thats why they isten and start transmitting when nobody is transmitting.

I'm assuming you're meaning through Ethernet or wireless? Data collision is when two sides are trying to transmit data at the same time. This is undesirable because neither side will receive data, rather it is wasted time. One side needs to back down and let the other send, before doing his own data send.
