Could a processor such as this one work with my motherboard?

It is a AMD Athlon dual core processor. It says that it supports DDR2 memory, but my motherboard uses DDR memory. Would the processor work??

Like the guy above said, that CPU is socket AM2+.
Socket AM2+ motherboards are not compatible with DDR RAM. The last DDR memory compatible socket from AMD was the 939, which is old.
You should consider getting DDR2 RAM anyway, if you're going to seriously upgrade or build a new computer. DDR2 is pretty cheap these days.

The memory isn't what you need to check. What kind of processor socket does the motherboard have? The processor you're considering requires a Socket AM2+ motherboard.
