When attempting to instill motivation in another individual you have to appeal to them. What you say, write, portray needs to be what they want, not what you want. So, play to them.
Your question on the message board should read, "_________ is my examiner and I need to persuade them to buy tickets to a charity dinner."
Who is this person? Male or female? Do they care most about poverty alleviation? The Environment? Appeal to their senses and good will. People want to come across as altruistic by nature. It is the Robin Hood Theory. Even professors/teachers. Grades on speeches are subjective by nature.
