How expensive is Zofran for sickness during pregnancy?

I have been prescribed Phenergen for past pregnancies but it really knocked me out and made me super drowsy. I can't do that this time around with 3 young children.

I've heard Zofran is expensive - can ladies who have used it give me an idea of the cost and how long the supply lasted you? Thanks.

When I started my pregnancy I didn't have insurance, and EACH pill was $10. But with my tri-care standard insurance it went down to like $4 for 3 months.. Big difference.

Honestly, it depends on your insurance. Call your pharmacy and ask them.. They can tell you exactly what it'll be with your insurance and dosage and everything.

my insurance only covered 15 pills a month and they were supposed to be taken every 4 hours! I can't remeber the exact amount, but with no insurance coverage, the cost was around $12-13 per pill, so I couldn't continue to take it. But wow, it was such a great medicine! If I could have afforded it, I would have stayed on it. It was the only thing that worked to help me keep food and fluids down during the really severe times in my morning sickness.

    What is Zofran?

Zofran (ondansetron) blocks the actions of chemicals in the body that can trigger nausea and vomiting.

Zofran is used to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused by surgery or by medicine to treat cancer (chemotherapy or radiation).

Zofran is not for preventing nausea or vomiting that is caused by factors other than cancer treatment or surgery.
