Xbox 360 / Xbox Live Problems?

If you don't want to buy a long cable, you can always convert to a wireless connection through the Wireless Network Adapter for the Xbox 360. It will cost you $100, but it's worth it because the connection is wireless and involves no trouble in trying to hide the cables.

A 50 Ft. cable is your best option. The wireless adapter is not worth the price and has been known to cut out and have problems. The cable is more direct, so the connection will be stronger and it won't cut out. To find a good cable for you, go to Amazon.com. You can fing good 50 Ft. cables there for around 7-10 dollars. These same cables go for 20-30 dollars at wal-mart or target.

You can get a wireless adapter for the xbox, but that's expensive (around 100$).

Another option, is connecting a laptop to the xbox and using it as a wireless adapter with ICS (internet connection sharing) - search youtube for it if you are interested in that.

Another option can be using a switch, which is like a "station" for the cable, where you can connect another cable from it to your computer, but buying a longer ethernet cable is more simple - you can get one in any normal computer / gamers store.

Depending on how far away your xbox is you will have to get a (KAT-5) cable a little longer then that.

Ask them for KAT-5 (Cat five) cable, i had to get a 50 foot long cable because me xbox is one level down and across the house.

If the wire doesn't reach its not difficult to find a longer one. Just go to best buy they have plenty of different sized cables. And if you dont want a long cable running through your house you can always go wireless
