Would you have to pay double tax when buying a new motorcycle out of state?

I'm shopping around for a new motorcycle, and It seems like the dealers in California are giving better deals on new motorcycle. I can save 4 to 5 hundred dollars if I buy it there. Shipping wouldn't be a problem, because my brother go to California at less once a month.

So if I buy a bike there and pay the tax in california, would I have to pay Arizona tax, because it is a new bike?

When you buy a vehicle out of state, you only pay tax in your home state. Some states have a small out of state buyer fee, and will charge for a temporary registration (if needed) but the tax is only charged when you title and register the vehicle.

You should only have to pay the tax in one state, though you would have to pay in your own state for registration.
