What kind of SD card do I need for my digital camcorder?
It's a Panasonic, model SDR-H40P, with a hard disk drive (HDD). I'm unable to upload videos from it and I think its because I don't have an SD card. I'm not too sure what kind I need. Any help and links are appreciated.
Thanks
When I try to upload video, it's not there. Like if I were to open the camera's memory as a file on the computer the only thing there are pictures. I can see the videos on the camera, and have played them back on the camera, but they won't transfer to my computer.

Start by reading the camcorder manual:
http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/SDRH40P...
SD card type required: Pages 22, 23, 24.
Connecting to a computer: Pages 84, 90, 91.
Not having an SD card should not make a difference. For storing video, Use Class 6 (or faster) cards.

I doubt it's got anything to do with not having an SD card - what happens when you try to upload video?

you don't need the sd card to upload. you need a usb 2.0 or firewire cord connected to your pc.
you'll also need video editing software and a decent cpu. uploading on a slow running computer is an absolute nightmare with tons of skipped frames.
