I don't know what mcafree is, but if you mean McAfee, then you can do it from the control panel, or even on the McAfee web site.

control panel>add/remove programs>uninstall it(windows xp)
control panel>uninstall programs>uninstall it (vista)
If they all fail, u can uninstall mcafee with perfect uninstaller. This can uninstall anti-virus completely:)

Answer: download mcafee removal tool and install then remove it from.

You can check SET PROGRAM ACCESS AND DEFAULTS in start menu if you are using win XP.
