Philly or NY.............................?

Both are very good teams, and honestly, it could go either way. This is tough for me to say because I'm a Phillies fan, but I'm going to give the Mets the edge this year because their starting pitching has been considerably better than the Phillies' starting pitching. I definitely think that the Phillies are the better team offensively, but the pitching is not 1st place caliber. If the Phils can pick up someone like Peavy by the trade deadline (okay, so not Peavy now, but someone with equal ability), then that would change everything, but as for now, I'm going to say NY. And I would rather have Utley, Rollins, and Howard, not just for their instant offense, but also for their excellent defense (Howard has REALLY improved defensively).

Actually I think it's a tie between each clubs "big three". Although I'll substitute Carlos Beltran for the out for the year Carlos Delgado. The recent battles between the Phillies and Mets haven't come down to the stars, they've come down to the bullpens, the benches, and the MANAGERS. The Phillies have won all those battles. But Utley, Howard, Rollins, vs. Wright, Beltran, Reyes. That's a push. Six great ballplayers.

The Mets will win the East. and when he's healthy i would take Delgado, granted he's about as fast as a three toed sloth, but for a power hitter he goes the other way fairly easy nowadays, and he dosen't strikeout that much for a power bat,

New York, hopefully, because I can't stand to see all the bandwagon Philly "fans" come out of the cracks like they did last year. Let's Go Bucs!
