So I guess Obama is not sending his kids to a public school?
At least Jimmy Carter did that!

Why would he do that? If George W. Bush sent his kids to a private school, the media would be all over it. The democrats can do whatever they want without getting slamed by the liberal media.

Well...given the Carter genes, I don't think even a private school education could have helped those poor kids. It would probably have been a waste of money.
Nope, 0bama is sending his kids to the same snotty, high-profile school that Chelsea went to. I don't mind that he does that-I mind the hypocrisy of it all. Sure he has the right to do so as a parent-so should the rest of America. But vouchers would still be wrong...because the American public education is "fine", so long as we emphasize science and math...whatever that means (my opinion? as long as it is not accompanied by a plan, it is just an empty rhetorical iteration of what he knows everyone wants to hear.) . We should definitely just dump more money into that failed experiment known as today's public schools. Especially the ones in the inner city.

It would be seriously dangerous because of some people being very unhappy that an African American was elected president.
My son attended a private then public school in later years, and I'm happy with that, but I would not want the Obama's to risk the lives of their daughters just to make some idiots happy.
They are good parents and Michelle is a great mother.

Amy went to public school for only one year.
And as a parent, he has the right to give his children the education, and location of same, that he feels would be best for them.
