You got it twisted. Its not because he famous, its because he's rich. The famous part only comes in to play with the media. Rich people get away with this all the time. You only hear about it because he's famous.

As much as we can not deny that it Stallworth was negligent by driving under the influence, the media has done its job in not explaining the entire scenario.
It is true that a pedestrian has the right of way. That means drivers are not supposed to hit pedestrians. However, the pedestrian needs to follow the laws too. A pedestrian can not put himself in harms way of the motorist.
FACT: The pedestrian was running accross the road so that he would not miss his bus. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk and was illegally crossing the road. The pedestrian put himself in harms way and also risked the lives of others. The pedestrian shares fault in this incident. Stallworth does not have complete liability. It was an accident with the fault shared by 2 people.
I am not defending Stallworth at all. It was irresponsible of him to operate a motor vehicle while under the influence. I am unbiasedly speaking and looking at all the facts. Never trust what the media says. They only tell you what they want you to know. My heart still goes out to the pedestrians family. It was a tragic loss.
Thumbs up to those who agree.

Stallworth is not getting treated any differently than anybody else that could afford to hire competent legal representation.
You should do some research to find out what typically happens in vehicular manslaughter cases. Stallworth is probably getting more serious attention by the prosecuter's office precisely because he is a little 'famous'.
There is one thing that he is going to get that your average Joe will not get. He is going to have to pay out $ millions in a civil judgement to the family of the deceased.

And another case in which personal business is smeared all over the web...because he's famous. If wasn't famous you probably wouldn't give a damn. And you might not have known about it.

This is stupid if it was ever someone else other than a football player he would already be in jail, but because he is a football player he gets off. He was drunk to so it is just wrong.
