Yes, I see it is what I call the new hynotic trigger word or phrase. Hockey Mom, maverick, socialist & some others really did become worn out so speed reader is the new one for now. Also, Cheney is the new Joe the Plumber, Palin of the month.They need to keep themselves alive, ha, ha.

Considering that the reader was hired to prevent John Boener from adding rider after rider after rider to the bill, which would delay passage in Congress.

If the Republicans would just give up the fight and realize they lack the votes to prevent it from passing, it would save taxpayers a lot of money and hassle. Not to mention that it would put any failure of the bill squarely on the shoulders of the Democrats.

Anything is good enough to distract the public from their disastrous shameful record, leadership crisis and total lack of new ideas. Nothing is silly enough not to make the American right run with it without realizing this are the kind of things that lost Republicans the last elections and will drive their party into political irrelevance for years to come.

appointing a speed reader is a display of arrogance, laziness, and fraud. we pay the congress tons of money to pass bills, and they cant even spend the time to read it.
