I would suggest going to Charles Double Reed. That's where I went before I started making my own reeds, and it's the only place I trust to send other people to. All of his reeds are hand made and tested before they're sent out so you're guaranteed not to have to pay good money for some junker. Since you're beginning, I would start with the soft and gradually work up to the hard. If you have any questions you can email me.

    hope it helped :)

I'd recommend finding a lesson teacher and have them help you. I don't know much about bassoon, but I do know bassoon reeds (and all double reeds) require a lot of modification to reach their potential. A lesson teacher could help you with this as well as helping you learn other skills.

If you can't afford lessons, ask your band director or a music store owner what reeds they'd recommend for beginners.

I even have that subject additionally, yet a number of the flaws i be attentive to that artwork are a million. Folding up some particular tape and putting it over the tooth. 2. cigarette paper **you *or a determine* might desire to purchase some at a tobacco keep, without the tobacco!** and fold it over your tooth. **that's what my clarinet instructor does. I additionally think of which you will possibly desire to purchase some particular stuff at a community music keep that could help with that subject.
