The instrument I'm looking to get, a Fox 601, is roughly $18,000. Would a student loan center give me a loan large enough to cover both tuition & the cost of an instrument if I'm a music performance major?

Okay so I have a Fuji Finepix s2000HD. I can get photos off of it fine, I have a Mac and it just pops up iPhoto and I can import them as is. The only problem is getting videos off. I tried using a card reader which didn't work either. I also tried opening up iMovie (manually), which with my last camera I could import videos into, but it just said that there wasn't a camera attached.

Is there just something wrong with the card? The videos I have on the camera are super important to me so any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have an ipod classic, and three times in the past couple weeks it does this thing where like, it will say that it's on hold but it's really not. The clickwheel and everything won't recognize that you're touching it and the screen will stay lit until the battery dies. While this is happening it won't recognize that I'm plugging it into the computer or anything. Once the batterys dead, i'll plug it in and then it'll go back to normal.

why is this happening!? heeelp.

It has all of the aspects I'm looking for (optical zoom, good mp, and in my price range) but I've heard fujis don't make good cameras. I've read the reviews, the only problem is that the good contradict with the bad and vice versa, so I wanted to get another opinion.

What are the bad things about this camera? I'm looking for vivid color, can this camera give me that?

Right now I'm leaning towards the nikon, because it has the highest zoom and mp, but i've been told that's not all that makes the camera. I don't know enough about them to make a dignified decision.

The pictures i'm looking to take are mostly scenery and just times with friends. So i'm looking for vivid color... I don't know if that matters or helps at all.

I'm a bassoonist, and have made the district, all state, and youth orchestras in my state. The only problem is I'm dirt poor, and have a polypropelene bassoon. I'd like to be able to buy a new wooden bassoon for college (ranging from 6 to 17 grand, depending on what i can get), is there any way that music majors can recieve scholarships to put towards an instrument instead of tuition?
