How do you easily move files contained in a folder and sub-folders to one folder?

I have a suggestion that works but would like to know if there is a utility that can do this better.

My idea is that you should zip the folder (containing all the sub-folders) using winzip. Once this is done, double-click on the zipped file to open it in winzip. Within the winzip window, you will see all your files listed WITHOUT the folder and sub-folders. So now, you can just select them and drag them into a new folder on your desktop and that will copy all the files with no sub-folders.

However, do you know of any utility that will do the same thing and allow for more options on moving files???

Faster - open Windows Explorer to the folder with the files. Open another copy of Windows Explorer to the folder you want to put that in. go back to the first folder, press ctrl-A. Drag the files from the first folder to the second folder. (It takes less time to do that to read.) move the first copy to the next folder, ctrl-A, wash, rinse, repeat.

Writing a program to make a list of all the files before doing the actual move is really a waste of effort, unless you're doing this every week or so, from the same folders.
