Preschool Theme: Frogs?

Looking for fresh ideas for this theme. Math/numeracy (beyond 5 Green and Speckled Frogs...majority of the children are working on numerals 10-20, since it's the end of the year), sensory/science (beyond life cycle), literacy, art, etc.

Thanks!

*Math/numeracy: what do you want to play with during worktime (free choice play time)? Estimate how many frog jumps it will take you to get to where you want to be, then help me count your jumps and we will see how close your estimate was. That also gives you a vocabulary word: estimate: what does it mean? A guess!

*Literacy/Science: read Is It a Frog or a Toad? Make a venn diagram to compare frogs and toads. Another vocabulary word: venn diagram: what does it mean? It's a graph to chart and compare information!*

*Math/Literacy: go to the library and get as many frog books as you can find. Don't forget the silly, fun ones like the Froggy books and Beatrice Potter. At some point during the week, get all the books together and count how many frog books you have read this week. Count how many children are present and compare the numbers. Do we have more children or more books?

I'm still thinking, Amber! Will let you know what else I come up with!
