Technical problem with YA?
I've received a message from another user and would like to reply to her, but when I click on the reply link in the message, it just takes me to YA, and not to a reply window like I used to get. What's up? How can I reply to this message?
2 AnswersYahoo Answers8 years agoWho's your favorite princess?
Looking for books for preschool-age children that represent princesses as strong, independent, and capable, and princes as good, helpful, and wise friends. I want to lead the children away from the traditional view of the princess who is weak and wilting and awaiting rescue.
10 AnswersPreschool8 years agoGot ideas for open-ended activities about evergreen trees?
I don't want to focus specifically on "Christmas", but that is the children's interest right now. Would love to hear some suggestions for small-group activities. (Fishy, hoping to hear from you!)

5 AnswersMilitary9 years agoCanadians: where would you seek health care if you are seriously ill?
I mean, do you feel you would get better care in Canada, or the US? What if you had something really serious and maybe life-threatening, ie cancer, heart disease, etc.
1 AnswerOther - General Health Care9 years agoWhat do you know about color blindness?
If a person is color-blind, would they be able to match items that are the same color, such as red to red? If they can match items, but cannot name the color, would that be color blindness? Any comments on how to identify color-blindness in young children would be appreciated.
4 AnswersSpecial Education9 years agoDoes your state use the term "unified school district"?
My state doesn't and I would like to understand what it means. I looked it up, but I don't understand how it is different from "public school". Please tell me if your state uses it or not, and what your understanding of the term is.
4 AnswersPreschool9 years agohow can I train my min pin not to eat the mice he catches?
My little guy is a fantastic mouser, which is great. But I worry he will catch something from his "catch" because he eats them. I would like to train him to drop it, like a present for me, and accept a treat instead. Any suggestions?
5 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhat is the best cell phone for just plain telephone use?
I like a phone with a camera and good sound quality, but I just use it as a phone. (I use my computer for my computer! Don't need lots of bells and whistles!) Was thinking about LG Accolade. Any comments or other recommendations?
4 AnswersCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoGot any fun 50th birthday pranks?
My little sis is turning 50 and I would love to do something fun but not mean or hurtful. We live a long way apart so I have to to figure out a way to do this from a distance! Anybody got any fun ideas?
2 AnswersOther - Holidays1 decade agoCan you help identify an insect for me?
I have noticed some tiny (about 1/4 inch long) insects flying around in northwestern PA that are beautiful. They look like fluffy white feather with delicate black wings. They almost seem to just float around on the breeze, but when I catch one and really look at it, I can see it's definitely an insect of some kind.

2 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoWhat are the best fuel-efficient vehicles on the market right now?
We're thinking about buying a new car and want to hear what your recent experiences have been, both good and bad. Also, we live in an area with hard, snowy winters and we'd like to know what kind of driving experiences you've had on wintry roads.

12 AnswersPreschool1 decade agoDo you know about laws in California?
I heard that it is no longer legal for children to call their parents "mom" and "dad" in California. This sounds so absurd that I'm thinking I must have been misinformed. Can anyone tell me where such an idea might have come from?

2 AnswersOther - Hardware1 decade agoLooking for a specific poem for young children?
It starts out "open and shut, open and shut, this is the way we cut, cut, cut." It also has a line about "Fingers on the bottom and thumb on the top" and I can't remember the rest of it! If you know the words, I would love to use it for a lesson on using scissors! I already tried googling with no luck.
1 AnswerPreschool1 decade agoDo you know about recent pediatric health issues?
My granddaughter is not feeling well. She is 12 and just says she doesn't feel good. She is having vague aches and pains, headaches, extreme fatigue, and often just seems "out of it." I remember reading recently about something like that going around in kids, but I can't remember the details or where I read it. Anyone know anything about this?
1 AnswerOther - Diseases1 decade agoWhy was the question Who teaches the teacher removed?
This was actually a great question, although I think it was asked facetiously. Why was it removed?
I think future students need to realize the value of this question, because a good teacher NEVER stops learning. They are taught by other teachers, their environment, books, the media, and most of all by their students. It is so very important that teachers learn all they can about their students, in order to be able to teach them!
Anybody care to comment on this?
