Canadians: where would you seek health care if you are seriously ill?

I mean, do you feel you would get better care in Canada, or the US? What if you had something really serious and maybe life-threatening, ie cancer, heart disease, etc.

    Uhm, Canada? if it's serious it's going to cost A LOT of money out of pocket in the U.S. here it would be free (of course we pay taxes but so does the U.S. they just put them towards military instead). We still get pretty good care here, serious illnesses especially get good care.
