Guns N Roses fans...?

Hi!Actually it is NOT a GN'R album. I 'd say It's an Axl Rose's album. I guess finally he got his chance to do an album in his own way, maybe THE album he always wanted to do. Remember when Slash and the other guys went mad 'cause Axl was playin too much around synths and experimenting new sounds for the band?At that point the band split up; basically 'cause he wanted to go in another direction, he wanted to play new stuff, but the band was doubtful about it and just didn't allow him to do it.

Now, freed from any restriction Axl has moved on and released HIS OWN album, which obviously can't be compared to any of the previous ones, 'cause that ain't GN'R! apart from the name. I mean, Izzy and Slash aren't there, and that changes the whole thing. They were the foundation of the band in terms of sound and writing of the pieces.

I think Chinese Demrocacy can be disliked by some of the old fans because there ain't no Sweet child o'Mine or November Rain stuff in there, but hey, that were the 90's. Almost 20 years have gone by and things are different. sounds are different, music is different, and like it or not, one of the best things about it is that it's up-to-date! Axl has been able not to repeat himself, and that's not to be taken for granted when you talk about an artist that owes his fame to songs like that previously mentioned!..

Well I know I'll get murdered for it, but I actually didn't like Guns N' Roses at ALL until Chinese Democracy came out (except for November Rain of course). I dunno why it is because I love Slash, but I just thought that Axl's vocals have improved. I couldn't bear listening to them before.

i honestly dont kike chinese democracy. in my opinion, g n r is nothing w/o slash, izzy, and duff. my dad's friend was actually in the band hollywood rose with izzy and axl. i also think that it should not be called gnr anymore bc axl is the only one still there

The new albums are rubbish.

Almost all new albums from bands that used to kick *** are becoming faker, only for money. Even the album name is such douche name. I've heard it and some songs were ok..but : madagascar, street of dreams, prostitute, chinese democracy were like wtf -.o

I heard it was that his friends called him slash because when he went over he would do a slash thing with his arms
