How can I advertise my housekeeping job?

I cleaned small offices for years until we moved to rural america and have friends who do residential cleaning. You are located in such a great place for this, though I don't know exactly where in the City you are.

Flier-Professional Looking Fliers-are a good start, as are business cards. On the flier you need to highlight and stress the benefits of hiring you for their cleaning...and I don't mean reduced pricing! Stress superior quality, efficiency and such.

Yes, post them, but not at supermarkets, but at places the people who can hire you frequent. Like gyms, social clubs, and why not have some conversations with the doorman at apartment buildings...ask if he knows how the tenants get their apartments cleaned, etc, and see if you can post a flier or two at the mailboxes and elevators. Even if people have a cleaning service, they may not be happy with it.

There are many ways or methods in which one can advertise his/her job. You go to the media house pay for a slot which will not cost you much but instruct them to flash it during very important news which attracts peoples' attention and interest. It will be catchy deliver and project your both image and your job.

If cost here will affect your continuity, you can then give your information to your church priest who will devote time and announce your instructions to the members of the congregation. If you apply this method too, people will begin to look for you after the church services. People will not only approach you, but send your message to their different destinations thereby advertising for you.

Go to schools, primary, secondary, universities and apply in writing seeking permission from the authorities to advertise your intentions. If you can produce few fliers, hand it over to them which must be in bold write-up with a projecting ink colour to attract passers-by. This is another good method. You can start with these methods which will cost you less, then when the business starts to flourish and gain ground, then make a business card which you will give to your prospective customers.

I suggest that if you apply these few methods, your business will grow from strength to a level that will astonish you.

I am in the same dilemma. However, i have spoken with people in business and they recommend putting fliers in the supermarkets or any possible public places as well as Craig's list. You may also create small post cards and mail them for $0.28 a piece. To obtain resident addresses you may go to your local town hall in the tax assessor's office and obtain homeowners names and addresses which is public information. Or you may address the postcard as "current resident" but you must have a street address and city state and zip code. Good luck!

You could get a website possibly, or just keep telling a lot of people you see.
