Any good ice skating stretches?

Hi I do Figure skating at least 4 times a week and I was wondering if anyone knew any good stretches that I could do that would make my spiral better (higher and straighter) and my teapot lower e.c.t.Also could you tell me how to do them.Any other stretches to make me more flexible in general welcome!

stretch for splits is a must

for spirals you need flexible hamstrings so lay on your back, and pull one straightened leg to your face.

and hold spiral positions at home for 40 seconds twice a day.

you will see improvements in a few weeks if you are consistent. good luck!

Try sitting in however far you can do the splits, do 20-30 high, straight kicks at a time to increase strength and flexibilty in the leg for this position. In a teapot, the main muscle you use is your hamstring and calf, so the lunge stretch and the hamstring stretch (Fold your leg over your bum and press into your bum) will increase the strength in your teapots, hopefully enabling for you to go lower.

    Hope this helps x
