Trying to think of a book about a carrier pigeon; any help?

I remember it took place in Tibet, the pigeon was a carrier pigeon in a world war, and the book had "gay" in the title. It was something like "Gaywing" or "Gayhawk".

Thanks for any help!

You're likely thinking of Gay Neck: The Story of a Pigeon. It was printed in the 20's and the author was: Dhan Gopal Mukerji.

If you can still find another book in print, you might also enjoy a book written in the 1930's. That one was called "Pigeon City" by Leon F. Whitney

Just F.Y.I. The bird in Gay Neck was a Scandaroon. Here's a place you can find a pic of one - near bottom of page.

  • Gay-Neck by Dhan Gopal Mukerji?
