What can i do to stop my feet from sweating while i play tennis, and then not stink when i take off my shoes?
Today i have my first date with a guy. (okay its a double date but whatever...) and we are going to play tennis with one of my friends and one of his friends who are dating. After that, we are going to go back to my friend's house and watch a movie.
My big problem is that my feet sweat a lot, and then when i take off my shoes, my feet stink REALLY bad. My friend has a rule that shoes go off in her house, so what do i do to stop the sweating and the stinking?
it needs to be able to be done it 3 hours, because the date is starting in 3.5 hours. If i leave baby powder, or baking soda, in my shoes for those 3 hours, wash my feet really well, put antiperspirant on my feet, and wear cotton socks, should that get rid of the problem??
Any other quick fixes??
Thanks for the help :)

I dont think there are any quck fixes but here are some things you can do for the future.
Having smelly feet is an embarrassing yet very common problem, and about 50 percent of the population suffers from it. But what causes smelly feet, and how can we minimise or even get rid of the smell altogether?
Well, bacteria loves sweat, and boy do our feet deliver. Between them, feet have about 500,000 sweat glands. Every day, those glands can produce up to 500ml of sweat.
When you put on shoes and socks, the sweat has got nowhere to go, and the bacteria go into a bit of a feeding frenzy in the warm, moist environment.
When the shoes and socks come off, it's not the sweat you smell, it's the bacteria and all their excretions.

Here are some simple tips to help combat smelly feet:
Wear cotton socks. They absorb the sweat away from your feet.
Change your socks frequently, especially after exercise.
Don't wear the same pair of shoes two days in a row. Give them time to air.
Avoid wearing shoes whenever you can. Go barefoot at home.
Try and wear ventilated shoes made from natural material such as cotton or leather as they breathe easier than synthetic shoes.
Buy some odour-absorbing shoe liners or use a spray or roll-on foot deodorant.
Try to treat yourself to a footbath every week. Not only is it relaxing, but it's good for your feet as well. Use a scrub or pumice stone to get rid of dead skin cells and leave your feet nice and smooth. Dry them off and massage a lightly scented moisturiser into your feet.
If you don't find relief from any of those suggestions, you might be suffering from a smelly fungal infection such as tinea (also called athlete's foot). Tinea can be treated with many over-the-counter creams from your local pharmacy.

you can't do anything about it. when you sweat that means that your body is trying to cool down. but if you are sweating a lot that means that you have got to be playing pretty hard. so just ignore it because it won't stop. but if you don't want it to be so notice able get some tennis shirts with the little holes in them, that should keep you cool. you should also try wearing white shits if you don't get the tennis shirts.

i play tennis like a mad man, and what usually helps is a ventilated shoe. The Adidas Barricade 5 have nice ventilation. Also to keep them from stinking, you can try to put of some sort of goldbond foot powder, which they definitely have in any supermarket/drug store, and then i also where think socks or two pairs of socks. That will keep in the smell, and it also prevents blisters, which is why i where 2 pairs..

My brother's feet use to sweat and stink so bad he was not allowed to bring his shoes in the house. Sprinkle some powdered alum in your shoes. It helps to keep your feet dry and also keeps the smell away. Good luck with your date. If you don't want to try that, I also read somewhere once to rub your feet down with mouthwash. It might work, don't know.

Try Certain Dry, I think it's called.. its an extra strength deodorant for excessive sweating. I know someone who has the same problem who has used that and seems to be somewhat satisfied. That's the quickest fix I can think of.

watch Oprah's episode about that kind of sweating. I forgot the name of the DR. but try to find that episode. The doctor tells about exactly for that problem. There is not much of a cure but a remedy for your sweat glands. Look for that episode. It is one of the frequent guest doctor she had.

Change your diet.
Also, get shoes that breathe better. Poly-fiber socks do not hold on to moisture the way cotton does. And charcoal inserts help attack odor.
