Do you play a musical instrument? What do you play?

I did from the age of 15 till I was about 23. Drums. I was the drummer in a Southern Rock Band. After we won "battle of the bands," we were awarded studio time (which we were going to use to cut our own music. The same week, the bass player got caught with the keyboard players wife in bed. He was being sought after, all over the city, by the keyboard player with a gun. The rhythm guitarist/lead singer had a girlfriend who told him she refuses to marry him if he doesn't quit the band and get "a real job." He quit. Friggin' Yoko type. This all happened in the same week, 1 week after we won the competition! The lead guitarist and myself wanted to shoot every last one of them. I sold my Pearls and never played again.

I used to play the flute

I can play the violin, the flute and the piano and also the guitar a lil. Oddly i cant read music though, im apparently one of the low percentage of people that can play by ear, if i hear a song played once then i can instantly play the song myself, its something im told my grandfather could do too and its supposed to be a rare Talent.

I did play the trumpet up through high school. I grew up with a piano in the house and all of us kids had an instrument.

Woohoo! Fellow flutist! Plus voice (yes, it is an instrument, because like anything else, it needs training and honing. Even Britney Spears took vocal lessons. And Beyonce could easily do opera.), and a little piano.

I would recommend playing some sort of saxophone, because I play flute and saxophone and they basically have the same exact fingerings!
