Some good songs to play on Bass Guitar?
What are some good songs for a beginner bassist to play? I don't mean songs that are on or two notes all the way through but songs that are interesting but easy. I can play songs like Down by the Corner, Psycho Killer, Stir It Up, and Riders on the Storm. I know there are some good songs out there but I can't remember them to look them up. I'm also not big into metal so I'd prefer not to play those.
Thanks

Not Metal? C'mooon...
Okay, how about Radar Love, by Golden Earring. Yeah ,it's not too interesting, but memorable. Their other song, Twilight Zone, was similar.
The Taxman, by Beetles.
Zeppelin always had good bass lines. A lot of bluesy stuff in the first record. Dazed And Confused is always fun, and so is Ramble On. The Song Remains The Same has one of their more challenging bass lines.
New World Man by Rush is another one.
Most of the really good classic rock lines are a bit harder to play for a beginner. And most of the easier ones are not fun. So it kinda sucks like that.

Ah-Man. . . metal rocks!
Okay well i would suggest checking out this band call 'Cohead & Cambium' (I think i miss spelled that, oh well). They're a so what heavy metal band but that bassist is killer!
Also check out the band 'Tool'
