State Supreme Court / Gay Agenda?

I see I was getting the news mixed up with the Supreme Court vs. the California State Supreme Court; they 'upheld' the ban for same sex marriage ... ok but then what about the other 18,000 who got married? That's disgusting to me! Anybody else want to keep the sanctity of marriage: 1man+1woman?

Update:

True this is America .... BUT why would the gay/lesbian agenda be pounding at the doors of the State Supreme Court asking for same liberties as the marriage institution of 1man+1woman ... if this agenda were TRULY acceptable? The gay/lesbian agenda has not been acceptable and I hope will not be ... those people who claim to be gay/lesbian may be great but the lifestyle is repulsive!

Update 2:

I don't lose sleep over this issue I ponder about the issue is all. Yes people do have rights but the gay/lesbian agenda has 'come out of the closet' long enough ... this lifestyle is not normal and immoral!

The 18,000 that got married are still legal, although many of those are out of state, and are not valid in other states, and the remainders will have a high divorce rate, because of the spur of the moment rush to marriage.

So really we are talking about only a few thousand gay marriages, nothing to get upset about.

The court did not say gays could not marry,,,,, the ruling did say the initiative process to define marriage is constitutional.

According to the constitution, state supreme courts trump the federal government in matters that are not specifically delegated to the federal government. This is one of those. So such a ruling would have no power to begin with. If the federal Government wanted to push the issue, then it could result in anything from court cases, secession, or even war. Such results would not be because of the issue itself, but over the principle of sovereignty.

No. What makes you think you are better than gays? There have been gay marriages in the past. In Egypt and even in Rome Emperor Nero was married to a man. Every culture has had it in the past. The definition of marriage changes through history.

The 18000 stay married legally. They are grandfathered in. The court finally upheld the decision of the voters. There is no law that says that gays can't marry. They just can't marry each other. The people have spoken and like in so many other issues voted in or out by the people there were loose rs in this case and they will protest and do the things they think is right at least in there minds. I am glad that the bench did not circumvent the will of the people...

I agree with you. I was very pleased to hear about the California State Supreme Court's decision. This is a great victory for those of us who want to keep marriage between a woman and a man.

"That's disgusting to me!"... so what? This is America. People are entitle to hold beliefs you don't agree with or that disgust you.

The so called Gay Agenda is pretty clear: they want the right to marry and all the duties and privileges that come with marriage.

I do not know why so many worry about this stuff. Who cares who sleeps with who. I certainly do not, it does not affect me.If they are in love, good for them. People are allowed to be happy. If they get married, how does it affect you?????

They have confirmed that the same-sex marriages are indeed LEGAL and cannot be rescinded.

Any consenting adult should be able to marry one or more other consenting adults of whatever gender.
