Who's ready for Dragon Machida to destroy Anderson Silva?
It will probably never happen but MAN what a fight, and yes I think after seeing Machida destroy his latest opponents without so much as breaking a sweat he would have little trouble with Silva, not as easy but he still wins if you disagree Please explain why.
I realize that they are friends but money talks and we can be friends later, I think they would put on a great show but Machida is a tactical assassin. If Dana wants a super PPV, let's go Machida vs Silva, winner of Lesnar vs Mir to fight Fedor , Shogun vs GSP and Rampage vs Rashad and hughes vs diego. tell me what ya think of matches and who will win?

Rite now as it stands id have to say the top 4 MMA fighters in the world are as follows in no particular order:
Machida
Anderson
GSP
Fedor
I think people would rather see Machida vs Silva rather than GSP vs Silva but it looks like unfortunately it probably wont happen. GSP and Silva are already legends but GSP vs Silva will still be a super fight and the winner of that match if it did come to pass would become super legends as long as there wasnt any controversy regarding the fight. When it comes to the hypathetical throw down between the Dragon and the Spider id have to give the edge to the Dragon Machida because of the fact that hes never lost a fight or a round where as Anderson has. Also when machida gets taken down which is very seldom its not long b4 he gets rite back up on his feet but Anderson gets taken down alot easier and spends much more time on his back than Machida does.

Firstly they will never fight because they are buddies. Secondly, both guys are monsters. I believe both Machida and Silva destroyed Rich Franklin in the same manner (twice with Silva).
The difference between Silva and Machida is that people decide withing 10 seconds of fighting Silva that they don't want to fight him, making his fights lackluster. With Machida, the guys figure in 10 seconds that they might have a chance, and then find themselves waking up with smelling salt.
A fight between them would monumental, but for right now people would like to see GSP vs Silva and see how Machida does against Rampage and other strikers like Wandy or the new and improved Shogan Rua.

If they actually did fight I would lean towards Machida. Simply because I think he is the smarter of the 2 fighters. In Machida's last fight he noticed his opponent running away from him so he began to stalk him and knocked him down in the first round and finally took him out in the second.
What would Silva have done? Just keep circling around all night looking perplexed thats what! Just like his last 2 fights.

I think Machida would win because the two are pretty evenly skilled, but Machida is naturally at a higher weight. Whenever skill is equal, weight is the determining factor.

Finally! thank you Roger C, I'm so sick of the overrated Silva-who has fought TWO good fighters in his career, how he even comes up in the best p4p talk is amazing, He would lose easily to Machida,
You must be dominating against good to great competition to be in the p4p talk.

Silva is not Rashad Evans. Rashad Evans lost to Michael Bisping in the stand-up, ffs.
Anyway, they're friends. If they were to ever fight, you'd see them dancing around for twenty-five minutes and one of them would earn a very close decision (no real point speculating who it would be).

Its just too early for me to be even kind of excited for this match-up, it will gain momentum if they both unanimously win their next matches, and after they both get (if they get) one more unanimous win after that, then everyone will be clamoring for this harder than Silva vs. Fedor or even Mir vs. Fedor.

they won't ever fight, they are best friends, and training partners both have went on record that they won't fight each other. machida will continue to run through the LHW division, and Anderson will continue to run through the MW division, with a few LHW fights for a personal challenge.
