EXCALIBUR- Castle, medieval theme, Midway in basement with cheap carnival games that are easy to win, 4 pools, 2 water slides, Tournament of Kings dinner show, Round table Buffet (pay $25 eat all day), connected to Luxor and Mandalay Bay, nice Widescreen Room, 24 hour cafe, Dick's Last Resort restaurant, food court with McDonalds, Quiznos, Krispy Kreme, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, and an ice cream store.
This is my favorite hotel and we took our kids there last year. They loved it! They ended up coming home with a ton of stuffed animals and prizes from the midway downstairs and we had a hard time figuring out how to pack them to get them on the plane. The dinner show kept my daughters' eyes riveted, and they got to eat with their fingers. There are real horses in the show along with jousting by the knights.
CIRCUS CIRCUS- Carnival themed, indoor amusement park with games and rides, circus acts. I would not recommend this hotel simply because it has a horrible location and is very outdated, but it is great if your parents want to spend a day visiting the hotel.
Those are the only really kid-friendly hotels, but there are plenty of attractions on the strip that you can have fun with.
Gameworks- underground arcade located below the Coca Cola Bottle on the strip. It was created by Steven Spielberg
Dolphin Habitat at Mirage- beautiful scenery with dolphins that do tricks and lions, tigers, etc. $15 adults/ $10 children
Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay- aquarium that houses more than 1200 species of marine life including sharks. Designed to look like a sunken shipwreck. $16.95 for adults/ $10.95 for children

The boys are probably too old for Circus Circus or Excalibur, New York New York has a really well-done theme, a fair-sized arcade and the roller coaster. The rooms are kind of smallish but it's only for one night anyway. Staying in the pyramid at Luxor means rooms with a slanted wall, taking an elevator that travels on an angle, and it even has a decent pool. There's also age-friendly attractions like the Bodies exhibit or the new Legends sports area. Room prices are usually amongst the lowest on the strip. If you plan to be doing a lot of sightseeing in your one day on the strip, you'll probably want something more central like the Mirage, which also has the dolphin habitat, secret garden and the exploding volcano show at night. A room for four may be out of your price range, though.

Circus Circus has the be the best place to stay considering they have a huge amusement park , Face painting, clown acts for free! parents can gamble while kids are in the mid way which is basically where kids can play games arcade games, games you would see at like carnivals. In the room they have these Clown channels pretty cool i used to love watching it. MGM Grand has the lions . Excalibur has the fantasies lands such as mid evil themes. New York New york. Has the roller coaster and games gambling night clubs . Across the street is m&m world coke world & game works and a souvenir shop. Luxor has the Mummy theme if your kids like that also the titanic and bodies. Mandalay bay has shark reef with millions of different fishes. I can tell you what every hotel has if you email me.

Not everyone thinks that Vegas is a place for kids..especially younger kids. You can't take them everywhere, most of what they CAN do is located off the strip & the new curfew rules are in effect.
Circus Circus tries to be a kid friendly place .....but, kids can easily spend as much in the arcade as adults can spend in the casino & l rather dislike its location, its a bit of a walk to the next casino.
Excalibur is more upscale & has a good size arcade & pool, but its not enough to keep an older kid busy for a long period of time and a youngster would have to be supervised.
Everything else on the strip is adult oriented..especially at night.

Circus Circus is the answer...
Vacation lining up! Kids need a break after their exams! This time I want to take my kids to Circus Cirus. This is not the Circus as you think. This funny name is the name of grand, luxurious, sophisticated Hotel in Las Vegas. Once I had visited Las Vegas on my business trip and this time I want to take my family for vacation. I was familiar with Las Vegas booking and hence I started to plan well before the vacation.

With a demanding attitude like that, it makes me wonder about the strain you put your kids through on a regular basis...
Anyway, Vegas isn't a good place for kids. They're very limited as to what they can do on their own, and there's too much potential for trouble.
Leave the kids at home when you go to Vegas. We'll all be happier.
