Have you done something selfless today?

A couple things, actually.

I am having a pretty selfless day :]

Did I do something selfless today? No, as far as I'm aware of. I try to be at least a little selfless but I'm not. At least not today. I wish though. This world needs more selfless people today *sighs*.:)

Nothing I do is ever truly selfless. When I do a good deed for someone else, I feel good. However, yes, I have done something externally selfless today. Several things.

I have answered questions here on Yahoo! today! Other then that, I guess not. I'm on summer vacation and I have not left the home all day (although you don't have to go outside to do something selfless).

I was polite in the face of extreme rudeness. That's all I could muster today.

Technically, I work to help others, since I'm a foster care case manager and counselor, but since I actually do get paid for this work, I can't claim it is selfless, can I...?

Some Philosophers believe that there is no such thing as a completely selfless act.

There's no such thing as selflessness. Any action perform by the person involves the self to do it.

I live in a dorm and the girls are slobs. I usually pick up the little toilet paper shreds (I cover my hand with a ton of TP even though they're just tear-aways...seems gross not to lol) and clean up the bathroom.

I just like a clean environment ... so maybe it's selfish.

Who is to judge if the act was selfless or not?

I have been a mopey selfish little wench all day. Melancholia set in and all I could feel was sadness within. What is going on? It's been a hard day.
