What is Your Personal Legend?

A personal legend is the path we decide to take that fills our heart with enthusiasm. It is the path of our dreams.

Last week this idea was given and so I would like for you to share your Personal Legend with us.

Love,

Paulo

I have always been an odd person, but my story began when I began to use my eyes. Notice all the behavior that shouldn't be tolerated, all the things that are unnecessary, at the same time they are required. What do I mean? Would you are that society function in a fairly circular matter but at the same time trends, actions, etc., are constantly changing. But ultimately that means their is never a reality except the exact moment in time. But what does this mean it means that their is no constants, no absolutes, and no never. Since the future becomes the imaginations and actions yet to put into play and the past is the recollection of imaginations in already in play. Thus I though why should I fear the future, or dwell on the past now not to disregard all care but accept it and accept that it can be changed.

So I did something about two years back that would change who I am and what I can do. I was leaving a soccer practice and waiting for a ride home from my parents, when I noticed that John M. and ex-cancer survivor was approached by three linemen from their practice. When I got closer I came to the realization that they weren't being friendly to John, a guy who was hospitalized his entire childhood (so he is a little awkward) but one of the nicest people I know. At the time all I knew was something had to be done, I wouldn't allow innocent kid to be bullied for people who have no knowledge of John. So I stood up for him but more so, I found strength now I didn't beat up the linemen since a couch came out to see the noise but I did mange to drop one.

This did one major thing, it gave me confidence. I continued to help people like John more than protecting them but I would teach them how to get girls, friends and encourage them to have ambition. In the end I did this with approximately 14 people all improved grades, half found girls or guys friends, and almost all found jobs. I didn't do a thing really but be a good friend to people who were alone. It may have seemed odd for a jock to hang with ex-stoners, people with a bad past, or depressed people.

As I worked with them I became interested in psychology now at the time I was already interested in biology. Moving forward with helping people in these categories lead me to one thing neurology. Today I am a sophomore in college but am working on enhanced neurological readers as a result of my past.

Sorry If I became confusing I may have been typing during a conversation.

You have to know how difficult your question is...Introspection is hard enough, but an overview of one's life from an objective point of view is the stuff of dreams for most of us.

Personally, I'm an eclectic and am not satisfied with a nine-to-five existence. I read history, ancient and modern, science, quantum physics, poetry, architecture, art, philosophy, alchemy, religeon and more.

I build high performance cars and motorcycles and operate them at nearly their full potential. I have built and ridden road bikes, moto-x and all terrain (mountain) bikes.

    I collect coins and stamps.

I also lift weights, practice Yoga, run and meditate.

I have been a light and sound tech and stage manager in big San Francisco theater companies, then went on to become a radio engineer and had my own show, which I engineered, for ten years.

I am a firefighter and a ham radio operator. I'm an official in a California Historical society.

I'm a Computer Science student at a local college and am interested in programming and computer security. I'm what is called a White Hat hacker.

I have nearly died five times...and was told in 1972 that I had five years to live. That will change your outlook.

So you see, I am interested in everything, and have seen connections between many seemingly unrelated subjects. It's all about the Big Picture...

Sometimes it seems to be starting to jell...I do know that nothing is what it seems to be, that we live in illusion. What we think is important is nothing, and what we scorn is truth. (Or we wouldn't be here.)

As my best friend says; "The trip's the thing."

anything and everything or everyone I love or have loved makes my story. For eg. freedom, ;loved ones and so on

In my childhood I had a greatest desire -to spend in same happiness as I had been doing my life with someone I dearly loved. But that person left Earth and that desire never got fulfilled.Though in vain I tried but though time has wiped out a lot ;the memory of that desire I still remember very vividly in my heart. That desire was like all-life, the world and everything else for me.Its unfiulfilment was like the end of life. Always I felt that beyond that there was no real life or such;as if it didnt move any further after that. But desires are desires; they dont necessarily get fulfilled always :)

but deep down maybe a futile one but the rememberance remains like a quest

I love this question. I have lived over half a century, and I'm finding the world very different from the one I was raised in, and very different from the one I expected. My aspirations have varied widely, to the avail that my words mark my path. I am a poet; I say that with great pride, and with great humility. I am a scribe, a witness to the things I've tried and to the path that I walk. Life is never easy, yet it is as simple as we make it. I choose my battles carefully, and pray that I not sell out.

I love compassion. It is a gift from the Holy Spirit and a challenge that, in the line of fire, we never lose sight of our natures. We--all of us--are in the business of building a world, both conceptually and for our children's future. If we ever go astray from those twin processes, we are nothing but animals. We raise ourselves before our forebears in the interest of our progeny.

I have been called insane. I may never have an opportunity to prove that I am not.

But 'compassion' is made up of two words: compass and passion. I walk the straight and narrow; to myself much has been given...and hence much of myself is required. I seek answers, and I never hide the truth.

I love life because life is love. What is my Personal Legend? Strength in the face of despair, silence in response to futility, and wisdom before my God. Every single person is important to someone, every life precious and sacred. Use me...use my sense of humor, use my vision, my heart, my soul. I am nothing without others; I would lay down my life for the one who betrays me. If you think that is insane, it's okay. I am the person my psychiatrist medicates me to be. (I saw that on a t-shirt)

I will never be president, I may not earn a title of respect or of notoriety but I have people who love me, who care and who trust me. I am often quick to speak and short on common sense. I try not to boast or brag because, seriously, I'm not anything but what you believe me to be. If my values are odd or displaced, maybe I've got it wrong. We are all working with insufficient information and necessarily draw unreliable conclusions.

I want to learn to stop cursing, quit smoking cigarettes, and discover something that no one has ever known. It's true, I may never accomplish any of those. After all I'm human. I do not expect anything of anyone that I can not do myself. Well, that's a bit of a stretch. Have a good day.

Well my dream is to have a wonderful family, and to live a modest life making sure my children have a far better childhood then what I had and what I'm having. I don't aim high and strive to make money; just want to be happy, and if I'm happy then there's no need to regret or feel upset.

My personal legend is to become a famous novelist. That's why I am drawn to Paulo Coelho who is generous enough to give himself to humanity, at least to those who want to achieve higher learning. haha

To be a vessel for my Lord Jesus Christ. Too live in his likeness too help those who suffer too give more and stop taking so much. So one day my little girl can say my mother was a beautiful person and she loved me and help show me how to love and I am so proud she was my mother
