Are ASUS laptops any good?

Yes, I read only good on Asus, they are major supplier of motherboards for HP, Dell, and Acer.

There is good chance your Desktop has Asus motherboard.

I forget the name of Company, the company makes most all the laptops for HP, Compaq, Dell, Acer, Asus and others.

I've had several Asus laptops over the years, all worked a charm;

Depending on what you want to do with them, its worthwhile spending a bit more, to get a bit more processing power.

Many Laptops for around £300 - £400 these days are pretty awfully spec'd.
