Why do humans actually believe this global warming B.S.?
With all the REAL scientific evidence not supporting the "Global Warming Conspiracy", why do people refuse to simply see the facts? It was warmer 1000 years ago for 300 years straight. And my personal favorite:" We are producing all this CO2 that is causing global warming" when in reality all 6.5 billion people on this planet only account for 1/2 of one percent of the CO2 produced!
To the geologist, my point that I was trying to make was on man made global warming. The statement I included was meant to point out that the human race has very little if any control on climate change. And the fluctuations we are seeing are completely out of human control, even though the world governments and the UN are trying to convince the general population otherwise. I have no problem "living green" but in our country's current state, all of this money being wasted on global warming studies and research could be spent on something real, that would actually do our country some good, not making more people feel important in an imagined situation. But thanks at least for an intelligent response.
And the UN study is a joke on a grand scale! Many scientists that are listed as sources for this study have either tried to remove their name and were unable because of internal pressure or have been accused of being pro industry and anti-planet. As a matter of fact, the study took only the facts that supported their ideas and disregarded those that did not fit the position they were trying to support. How very biased and unscientific was that?

You seem to be saying two different things. One, global warming is a hoax, and two, global warming happened in the past. It seems that if it has happened in the past, then it can't be a hoax.
The real question is whether humans are causing the changes that are being seen, or whether its natural causes.
The climate has indeed changed throughout geologic time. The Earth has been much colder, and its been much warmer. We're fortunate to live at a time when things are pretty hospitable to human life.
The following is from a NASA site, link below:
"In 2001, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), a group sponsored by the United Nations (UN), published results of climate simulations in a report on global warming. Climatologists used three simulations to determine whether natural variations in climate produced the warming of the past 100 years. The first simulation took into account both natural processes and human activities that affect the climate. The second simulation took into account only the natural processes, and the third only the human activities.
The climatologists then compared the temperatures predicted by the three simulations with the actual temperatures recorded by thermometers. Only the first simulation, which took into account both natural processes and human activities, produced results that corresponded closely to the recorded temperatures. "
Basically, natural factors alone can't account for the temperature changes that we are seeing. Its the data, not politicians, that bring us to that conclusion.
Either climate change is real or the vast majority of climate scientists are in on the biggest conspiracy of all time and none of them is willing to cop to the conspiracy.
The data are the data. No hoax, no BS.
If there is a counter argument to the data, it needs to be produced and looked over. Opinions are just opinions - everybody seems to have one despite hard evidence to the contrary.

but pollution burning through the ozone layer does bother me a little
