BJ's restaurants, dress code?
I applied for a job at BJ's and I'm wondering if they have a dress code. I not only have tattoos and a piercing but my hair is also a few different colors. Really it's the hair that I'm slightly concerned about, because everything else can be covered. It's dark blue and purple with a little bit of red. Will I have to change it? And should I do it now, before the interview?
I can see what you're saying...although I don't look "radical" or wild in anyway; it's mostly just dark blue.

I dine there almost every week and i never seen anyone with hair like that Nor any visible body art. In fact I seldom see that at all except in music stores and places like Hot Topic. The appearance of the staff reflects upon the company and the companies are quite protective of that. In short, I think it is time to change your hair do, unless you want to literally sell Bon Jovi albums for the rest of your life (I had shoulder length hair at one time, not any more).

I have not seen that combination in any restaurant!
Remember you only have one chance for a first impression, make it count! If you are not comfortable going to the interview like that and you really want the job then change it.
Keep on mind that right now employers have the upper hand to be picky when hiring.
I can tell you that a particular company may value confidence and personality but they also want to present an image to their customers.
I do interviews and if I see that your QUALIFICATIONS match what I'm looking for then I will ask you to color your hair to a normal tone and offer you the position, however if I have another equally qualified applicant guess who gets the job?

All black or white only during lunch depending on who's the GM tattoos aren't as big of a deal not colored hair. Are you host or server host have more freedom with the uniform severs have to wear collared button down tucked in black slacks with black socks and black nonslip shoes.

I would probably change the color. I've eaten there multiple times and the people working there are very uhm.... clean cut? Not that I'm saying that you're not, but I guess I mean natural-looking hair with the girls having it pulled back and whatnot.
